SCENERY

Port Lincoln at night

I travelled from Morgan up to Peterborough, then to Port Augusta. Detoured down to Port Lincoln, then up the coast road eventually to Ceduna. I have been amazed at the scenery on the way. Largely it is clear and 'barren'. That is there aren't many trees, but it is beautiful and green. There are rolling hills and frequent large bodies of water. The ocean, and its rugged cliffs aren't far away. There were surprises where you came around a corner and let out a little gasp because of the unexpected scenery which rolled out in front of you. South Australia tourist board should lift their game in promoting this area. The coast I think is every bit as good as the Great Ocean Road. However I was not really impressed with their billboards, hardly conducive to a family roadtrip.

I cooked breakfast here, about 50 kms from Port Lincoln
