Parkes car wash |
I see a car as a means to get from point A to point B. It is a tool. I wash my car maybe once a year, and if it rains on that day then...well I just leave it till next year. The 'troopie' was covered in mud an inch thick from scrambling around in the mud at the Daintree so I thought maybe I should wash it before going to Western Australia. Late at night I drove down to the Parkes car wash, not because I was embarassed and didn't want anyone to see me, but because that was when I got around to it. I was surprised there was a line-up at the car wash. Most were young men there to wash their utes. The next morning, after unpacking the 'troopie' I went back to vacuum the inside. This was about 6am. Yep again there was a queue. More young fellows washing their utes. No other comment required I think.
